BirthdayJAPAN staff:What kind of activities are you currently involved in?

 

Mr. 9In addition to :X, Instagram, and YouTube, I also search for and post information about INI in articles that come up from Korean sites.

When I have a schedule, I edit and upload videos and photos from that time.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:You also send out information such as clothing summaries! How have the fans reacted?

 

Mr. 9: I'm the type of person who can't let go of things I'm concerned about, so I didn't see many people posting information about clothing collections, etc., so I posted it myself.

It seems that some people want to know this kind of information and are grateful for it.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:When did you start this activity?

 

Mr. 9: I started in April of last year.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Is there a reason why you started?

 

Mr. 9: I wasn't originally one to be active with a public account, but I felt it was a waste to record videos and save photos and just watch them alone. 

Then I started an account activity for me to see because I like to be organized.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Was it around the same time that you became a fan of Shogo Tajima?

 

Mr. 9:I became a fan about two or three months before I created an account.

When I first created the account, I didn't expect it to be so active, but I thought I'd be supporting Taji for a little longer.

At that time, I had a lot of content, so I started thinking that I should not post it. 

What is the secret to your ability to communicate information?

BirthdayJAPAN staff:I believe you have close to 8,000 followers. Why do you think your account has become so large?

 

Mr. 9:I think the reason is that they are quick to find and upload information, and that they are very steady in their activities.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff: Korean fans are quick to send out information!

At what time of the day do you check the information?

 

Mr. 9:I check the information every time I can (lol)

There aren't many of us right now because we're not active, but information is often posted on SNS almost every hour before and after an album comes out, so I check regularly at that time.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:It seems that you are also interacting with Japanese fans through the question box, but what is the reaction from Japanese fans?

 

Mr. 9: People who have similar thoughts to me and who like my posts give me good reactions in the question box.

As far as I know, it's more difficult for Japanese people to use smartphones at work than for Korean people.

So, when they see something on X or Instagram, they can easily see it if it's uploaded before they look for information, and it seems that some people appreciate that.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff: Is there anything you try to do or be careful about when communicating?

 

Mr. 9:I'm Korean, but I post most of my posts in Japanese, so I check for incorrect letters and words and try not to post information that isn't accurate.

What is the best thing about being active?

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Has there been anything good about your activities?

 

Mr. 9: I like being able to see things I want to see again, and I like organizing things by date, so when I searched for that date a year later, I was able to see it again and think, ``This happened on this day.''

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Are there any memorable episodes from your career so far?

 

Mr. 9: Hmm... If I recall right now, I made something like goods before.BirthdayThey were giving away free copies at events like cafes.

But now that I live in Korea, I don't have the opportunity to give out free copies like that in Japan, which is a shame.

Last year on INI's tour, I handed out goods that I had made, and the next time I met the Japanese fans who came that time, we became friends.

I think that's what I remember most.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:What kind of goods do you make?

 

Mr. 9:I usually make things for my own use, such as paper calendars, postcards, and photo card holders.

Of course, I don't make it myself, but I request the design I want.

BirthdayJAPAN staff: How did you become a fan of Shogo Tajima?

 

Mr. 9:I was originally interested in Japanese idols and didn't look for them directly, but a friend who liked another group from the same agency recommended me and I started listening to their songs. 

Then YouTube's algorithm started displaying content called "INI folder".

It got a lot more views than I expected, so I wondered why, and found it interesting and started watching it. 

Then I saw the stage video and became a fan.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:What kind of video did you watch?

 

Mr. 9:I think the stage video is the coolest.

I couldn't watch many videos because there wasn't much content like Chikem compared to Korean idols.

I fell in love with STUDIO CHOOM's ``Rocketeer'' and ``Password'' after watching them.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:What did you find attractive?

 

Mr. 9: I didn't think I liked him the most from the beginning, but as I watched him, his face and personality caught my attention.

Also, unlike my first impression, I can see that he has a more mature side, and I like him because he has a calm and interesting personality.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff: Is there any other charm of Shogo Tajima that you would like to highlight?

 

Mr. 9:I think the things that people find attractive are different depending on the person, but I feel that the biggest appeal is that the atmosphere can change depending on the styling.

I've always been someone who would change my preferences quickly and lose interest. 

But Taj felt new every time I saw it, so that was the best part.

I also think that the style is attractive.

There aren't many of them, but once you watch his VLOGs on YouTube, you'll understand the charm of Taji that will make you fall in love with him.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:What kind of styling do you like the most?

 

Mr. 9:It's hard to choose one, but I think the "Rocketeer" costume and red hair are Taji's signature, and I like that styling the most.

Differences between Korean idols and Japanese idols

BirthdayJAPAN staff: Do you feel any difference between Korean and Japanese idols?

 

Mr. 9: There are so many.

First, Korean idols have far more content that fans can enjoy.

I think it's good that most Korean idols use communication apps so that their fans don't get too bored.

INI also has a private email, but since it's one-sided communication, there may be a slight difference.

Also, it is difficult for Koreans to go to concerts and offline events,

There's some information that you won't know unless you go there in person, so I feel a little disappointed about that part.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Do you feel any obstacles when you try Japan for the first time?

 

Mr. 9: It doesn't seem to be very culturally speaking.

In terms of language, I originally studied Japanese, and I'm still studying so that I can listen to programs and radio programs by myself.

Taji can speak Korean, so it's really nice to speak Korean sometimes.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:While you have supported Shogo Tajima, is there any memorable story about him?

 

Mr. 9:My most memorable moment was when I went to an offline event and talked to Taji.

I'm a little embarrassed, but I made some grammatical mistakes when I spoke in Japanese.

I remember being embarrassed but grateful that Taji made sure to listen to me even when I was wrong and asked me again.

I think it will probably remain in my memory for the rest of my life.

Mr. 9:No.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:If I have a chance, I would like to try it.Birthdayevents andBirthdayAre there any advertisements?

 

Mr. 9: I've wanted to try advertising, but I wasn't able to prepare this time, so I'd like to try next year if possible.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Do you have an image of where you would like to release your work, such as Korea or Japan?

 

Mr. 9:I want to do both, but I think more fans will be able to see it if we do it in Japan.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:If in JapanBirthdayWhat do you feel is the biggest obstacle when it comes to advertising?

 

Mr. 9:The biggest concern is whether the videos and photos that can be used in the advertisement have been decided and whether the advertisement can be created with a design that is satisfactory.

IfBirthdayIf you don't know that advertising agencies exist, you'll have to find out through your Japanese friends or do it yourself, so I think that's the difficult part.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:ActuallyBirthdayIf I decide to do advertising, is a Japanese agency an option?

 

Mr. 9:Yes. I think you can do it directly in Korea, but if you want to do it in Japan, I think it would be difficult for me to contact you from Korea.

It's difficult to communicate over the phone, and I think it's difficult to communicate accurately via email, so if possible, I'd like to do it through an agency.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:If you have an agency that understands the rules for support advertising and has cooperation with advertising media companies,BirthdayDo you think the hurdles to doing advertising will be lowered?

 

Mr. 9:Yes, I think there are probably people other than me who would like to do birthday advertisements, but I think there are also people who don't understand this kind of thing and can't do it.

 

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Aside from your birthday, are there any other events or activities you would like to do in the future?

 

Mr. 9:I would like to do an advertisement to celebrate my debut anniversary or if I decide to start a solo career in the future.
