BirthdayJAPAN staff: Well then, I look forward to the interview!

First of all, please tell us how you started your fan base!

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:I watched ``&AUDITION'' (the audition show where &TEAM was formed) and thought, ``I want to somehow make FUMA-kun debut!''

Therefore, in order for fans to unite and get excited, I thought it was important to ``create advertisements on what was then Twitter (now X)'' and ``encourage voting,'' so I launched FUMA JAPAN FANBASE.

BirthdayJAPAN staff：When you actually decided to start a fan base, what did you start with?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: First of all, I created the fanbase X account during the audition.

At the same time as calling for votes, I created an account thinking that I wanted to run ads, but in reality, new accounts cannot run X ads.

Because of that, I wasn't able to manage everything carefully during the audition.

From the day FUMA-kun's debut was decided (September 3, 2022), we began operating the X fanbase account in earnest.

BirthdayJAPAN staff:What kind of activities were you involved in when you started managing your fan base in earnest?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE：I thought, "Let's make FUMA-kun more popular!", so I checked the information with "&TEAM" in the X every day, down to the smallest details.

Everyone was retweeting and liking it almost every day.

BirthdayJAPAN staff：Do you collaborate with other members' fan bases?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE：When starting an event, we sometimes collaborate with the fan bases of groups and individual members.

Distribute playlists every day to increase the number of views!

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Are there any media other than X's fan base account and voting account that you use to send information?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:We distribute YouTube playlists every day!

BirthdayJAPAN staff: How do you decide the content of the playlist?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: We've included a lot of FUMA-kun's ticks and &TEAM's "I want this song to get more views."

We publish it every day for FUMA-kun's fans in the form of, ``Please listen to it when you have time.''

“Let’s unite and do our best!” The strong bond of FUMA pens

BirthdayJAPAN staff：Is there anything that you think is good about being active as a fan base?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: I'm happy that so many people at FUMA Pen follow me and respond to the information and projects I send out.

One of the great things about running a fan base is that overseas FUMA pens look at the FUMA JAPAN FANBASE account.

Also, other fans have said to me, ``Everyone at FUMA Pen is united,'' and everyone at FUMA Pen has been working cooperatively in various ways, so I'm really grateful for that.

I am truly grateful that everyone is working together to support us in various ways, with the spirit of ``Let's unite and do our best'' and ``Let's vote for FUMA-kun.''

Disseminating information with great care

BirthdayJAPAN staff：Is there anything you are careful about while managing the business?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: Well...I'm especially careful about words.

How the other person thinks can be interpreted differently even by just one word.

Therefore, before posting on X, all members of the management team make sure to check every detail, including typos and nuances of words.

I always post the first post after getting everyone's approval!

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Are there any things you try to do when communicating from a fan base standpoint?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: I am careful not to create original images or express personal or biased opinions.

BirthdayJAPAN staff：Do you all create the original images?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: That's right, that's right!

When it's a birthday or other celebration, one of the members creates an image, checks it, edits it, and then sends it out.

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:Also, since we are running a fan base in FUMA-kun's name, our top priority is to keep FUMA-kun's name from being tarnished.

What is the appeal of FUMA-kun, according to FUMA JAPAN FANBASE?

BirthdayJAPAN staff:Now, please tell us about FUMA!

What made you start supporting FUMA?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:I met FUMA-kun when I watched “&AUDITION” while watching “I-LAND” (the survival audition program that produced ENHYPEN. K・NICHOLAS・EJ・TAKI appeared in &TEAM).

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:Even though he's older than the other participants, I was impressed by how he worked hard and took on the challenge, so I thought, ``Let's support FUMA!''

Among the people who are working hard, FUMA-kun really shined.

BirthdayJAPAN staff: I see! What do you think is attractive about FUMA?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: FUMA-kun's charm is his powerful performance, charming ability in dance, hard work, and politeness.

Another appealing aspect of FUMA is that he never gives up and continues to think, ``I'm definitely going to make a debut'' and ``I'm definitely going to become an artist,'' and that he's ``a person who sticks to his word'' and is making his dreams come true.

Also, the fact that FUMA-kun himself is an ``otaku'' makes me feel very close to him (lol)

FUMA Pens: That's what everyone likes about FUMA-kun.

FUMA-kun is a Pokemon and Taemin (SHINee member) otaku, so one of his charms is that he "understands the feelings of otakus" (lol)

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:Also, considering FUMA-kun's age, I think his last chance to debut was in &AUDITION.

Ever since the audition, I had a strong feeling that ``If I don't push him here, he might not see the light of day.''

“I definitely want to let FUMA-kun make his debut!” I thought.

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE：Even though he is the oldest of the &AUDITION trainees, he never fails to work hard, is manly and gentlemanly, and has a gentle personality...I really like his personality.  

An unforgettable "certification shot"

BirthdayJAPAN staff：Having supported FUMA so far, are there any memorable episodes?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE：First of all, the most memorable thing was that FUMA-kun was selected in the final of “&AUDITION”.

I'll never forget it for the rest of my life. I think everyone cried.

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE：Also, when we advertised in Korea, FUMA-kun took a photo of us for authentication, which left an impression on me!

When we won first place on a Korean voting app, we were able to run a big advertisement in Korea as a bonus.

At that time, FUMA-kun went to see it and took a certification shot.

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE：That made me really happy.

I was overjoyed with all the FUMA Pens who worked hard to vote!

BirthdayJAPAN staff: It's amazing that we won first place among the fans, and that our pusher even took a verification shot! Where was the advertisement carried out?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: Vision (digital signage) advertising was carried out at Hongdae Station!

BirthdayJAPAN staff：Are there any other memorable stories about FUMA?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE：He's really updating me with memorable things every day.

FUMA-kun has wanted to appear on TV programs since he was a child, such as ``SASUKE'' and ``Strongest Sports Men's Summit Battle.''

Also, the Pokémon program “Where are you going with Pokémon?” ? ” and appeared in

FUMA-kun is truly a “successful otaku” and is amazing!

BirthdayJAPAN staff:What kind of events/advertisements have you held so far?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:The first thing we released was a poster ad to celebrate our debut and a vision ad for Shizuoka.

BirthdayJAPAN staff: You've been through a lot. Since before,BirthdayDid you know about advertisements and support advertisements?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE：I didn't know about her because she wasn't the type who originally supported idols.

After I started watching audition programs, I learned that there was such a thing as support advertisements.

BirthdayJAPAN staff:When you first tried to hold events and support advertisements, what did you start with?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: First, I was wondering how to advertise, so I started by doing a search.

I realized that I had to use an advertising agency, so I dug deeper and deeper into the design, location, cost, etc.

BirthdayJAPAN staff: So you started by doing some homework.

BirthdayAmong all advertisements and support advertisements, why do we mainly use poster advertisements and vision advertisements?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:The reason why I chose a poster advertisement was because I wanted everyone at FUMA Pen to go and see it, regardless of the time, and to have fun by taking a photo with the advertisement!

The main reason we chose Vision Advertising was because when we wanted to run an advertisement in Shizuoka, where FUMA-kun is from, there was no suitable place for a poster advertisement.

BirthdayJAPAN staff：The first advertisement that came out was to celebrate FUMA's debut, right?

What made you want to run an ad to commemorate your debut?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE：The main reason for this was, "I want many people to know about FUMA-kun!"

Also, FUMA-kun seemed to lack confidence for a long time, so I wanted to tell him, ``There are so many fans who support FUMA-kun!!''

What is FUMA JAPAN FANBASE's impression of the FUMA pen?

BirthdayJAPAN staff：BirthdayDo you have any memorable anecdotes while working on advertisements, support advertisements, or events?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: Some of the management members were wondering whether or not to do an advertisement for their 1st anniversary since their debut in December...

As a result, we decided to put out station poster advertisements.

Then, in one day, we raised twice the goal amount!

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: That's how passionate everyone at FUMA Pen is!

We could really feel everyone's enthusiasm, and our spirits grew as we thought, ``If this is the case, we want to continue this for our 2nd and 3rd anniversary since our debut!''

BirthdayJAPAN staff: That's wonderful! That’s amazing…!

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE: I'm grateful that many of FUMA-kun's fans are really passionate about it.

BirthdayJAPAN staff: From your point of view, FUMA JAPAN FANBASE, what is your impression of FUMA's fans?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:For example, when the fan base sends out an message on X saying, ``We're planning an event like this to support FUMA-kun,'' they don't just repost, they repost quotes with words like ``This is what they're doing'' and ``Let's all do our best.''

I guess one of the characteristics of FUMA Pen is that it's not just us, but everyone who makes it even more exciting.

I'm very happy that there are so many enthusiastic fans.

BirthdayJAPAN staff：It's true that this is the first time I've had the chance to talk to everyone, and I'm impressed, saying, ``It's cool to see everyone stoically supporting me!'' !

Our future challenge is to follow up with overseas FUMA Pen staff.

BirthdayJAPAN staff：As a fan base, is there anything you would like to do in the future?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:This timeBirthdayOne event I gave up on was the Capho event in Korea.

I would like to hold a Capho event in Korea in the future.

Also, I am worried every day about how to send information to FUMA Pens overseas.

Currently, we are only communicating in Japanese, so I think our future challenge will be to follow up with FUMA pen users overseas.

BirthdayJAPAN staff: Does FUMA have a global fan base?

FUMA JAPAN FANBASE:Depending on the country, it is...

So, I would like to increase the number of FUMA pens overseas and spread the word!

Another challenge is to utilize other SNS to further spread the word about FUMA-kun's appeal.
